What CPT code would you use for injection/administration on vitamin b-12???
I have been stuck on this for 2 weeks........:eek:
 
That would depend on the mode of administration; intramuscular (96372) vs intravenous (IV Push, Infusion etc...)

You do not charge for the medication, usually the pt will bring it to the office. You would only charge an admin fee as listed by Anthony above.
 
If you want to bill for both B-12 and admin, it would be J3420 & 96372 (for IM and others as said above)

If the patient is bringing their own drug, need to bill only for admin.

If your billing it with nurse visit do not assing admin code. Just 99211 & J3420 would go.......
