If our pediatric office does a well child exam and the child has several other health issues that the pediatrician has to review records and tests can we charge an E&M code in addition to the well child codes? The physician is not usually prescribing medications as the specialists are, but they have to review specialists records, send referrals and scripts for PT or OT.
