How many times can we use /bill 99391 in a year?
 
AAPC notes Code 99391 "reports a preventive medicine reevaluation and management service provided to a child who is an established patient and is less than one year old. The E/M service includes a comprehensive history and examination appropriate for the child's age and gender along with counseling and guidance for prevention of risk factors. Laboratory/diagnostic tests performed and immunization services provided during the visit are reported separately."
When I managed a pediatric office, we did 2 month, 4 month, 6 month and 9 month WCC and then the 12 month WCC was AFTER the 1 year birthday and with Medicaid at that time, it had to be one month past the birth date to qualify.
