I often research how other coders are billing similiar surgeries on the website. I read that some coders were billing 19103,19295,77031-26 and others were not billing the 77031-26. What about billing the 19103, 19295,77031-26 and 76942-26. I am asking regarding general surgery billing practices. I thought that I had read that the 76942 should not be billed by the surgeon but by the radiologist, but now cannot find that info.
My report states: Assist mammorgraphic techinician___localization 2. Calculation of stereo coordinates. 3 Steeotactic bx of rt breast axillary tail. and 4 Placment of Marker clip.
