I have attached a progress note. My provider thinks this should be coded with a preventive exam and 99213 for the hyperglycemia and knee pain. I do not agree. This looks like a straight preventive exam to me.

this comes under the heading of a preventive exam with abnormal findings however I do not find sufficient documentation for a separate visit level.
