Wiki What is a "C" code

I have an attorney asking me for a "C" code for peritoneal mesothelioma for a Medicare Confidential Reporting Information Form. They will not accept a "V" or "E" code. Can anyone help?

I would ask for a copy of the form and for him to highlight the information he needs. I found a form and some information about it (see below). I think he may have misspoken. The form requests an ICD-9 code "for each body part affected" by the alleged injury. It makes sense that V codes and E codes would not be accepted because they do not describe the nature of the injury. I hope this helps.
