My provider is asking if a reviewing a questionnaire counts as an independent interpretation of a test. I am guessing no, but just want to confirm. TIA

I wouldn't count it as an independent interpretation of a test, because by the definition from AAPC , "an independent interpretation of a test for which there is
a CPT Code and an interpretation does not need to conform to the usual standards of a complete report for the test".
And so, with the patient questionnaire that had been reviewed, I would give it credit as data reviewed, be it external or internal notes., but not as Independent
interpretation of test . Hope this helps.
