If a patient was Inpatient when the EKG was performed, but the EKG was not interpreted until days after the patient was discharged, what place of service should be used?

Should it be the location the Physician is in when he/she is interpreting, or the location the patient was when the EKG was performed.

Inpatient or Outpatient?

Yes, you are correct. You use the place of service where the patient actually received that service regardless of where the doctor interpreted it.
