If you realize after you sent a claim that there was in incorrect quantity, should you wait for the initial claim to process before you send out a corrected claim?

Wiki when to file corrected claim?

In my experience, most payers cannot process a corrected claim until after the initial claim has been completed, so yes, I would wait. Be sure you flag that claim, or make yourself a follow-up note somewhere so that you don't forget to file the correction once you receive the EOB.
