Does anybody know where I can find out what is considered the global period for specific codes?

You might want to consider buying a CPT book or encoder from Ingenix next year. They list the global days in the text. It's very nice!

Hi,

I created an RVU thing that I use at work for Globals. I put it on the site called: "RVUs with a Twist" - it's just a few highlighted lines from the RVU spreadsheet from CMS with the RVU status indicator meanings on it.

Has the Global days, bilateral status indicators & a few other coding things, but I took away all the RVU's & conversion factor information. It's just meant to find the Globals & other things.

Here: http://www.askleslie.net/drup3/content/cmsmedicare-guidelines

Scroll down for "RVU with a Twist". Oh, and above that are direct links to CMS RVU information if you need it.

Hope this helps!
