If a Medicare patient is seen for a well woman pelvic exam, but does not have a PAP, would the dx be V72.31 or V76.2? My OB/GYN office has V76.2 listed on the superbill as a Medicare Annual Exam and the doctors are picking this code even if a PAP is not done and I am not sure if this is correct!
