Wiki Which ICD 9 codes should I use? Any helpful info/guidelines would be great!!

Hi, any help would be greatly appreciated!

Pt is pregnant with twins.
diamnionic dichorionic twins for induction of labor at 38 weeks status post spontaneous vaginal delivery of twin a.
twin b's hand was coming comding down vertex, and could not be reduced.
c-section was performed and no ocmplications of c-section. Both twins are live births.

Please help with coding this for ICD9. I have gotten many codes many different times. Any guidelines on labor and delivery coding would be great! I am new to this type of coding and do not want to record incorrect data. Thanks in advance for you help

for your icd 9 I would establish twins pregnancy: 651.03, V91.03, then an obstructive malposition of fetus 660.01, 652.73 (reasons for csections. Not sure but that's where I would start researching.

for the vaginal delivery I would use 651.01 and V27.2 and for the C section I would use 652.81(presentation hand) and V27.2
