Hi

is there an appropriate modifier to use on the E/M when a patient is seen for chest pain and then sent for a stress test on the same day for the same diagnosis?

I would use the 25 modifier. As long as your documentation meets whatever E/m you billed I believe the 25 would be appropriate.

I would agree, use the 25 modifier on the E/M visit.
