If the primary insurance is Windsor and the secondary is Medicaid...how do you bill the secondary? Windsor does not send the information on to the secondary for reimbursement. If we have billed Windsor then how much do we bill the secondary?
 
I do not know what state you are in, but here in Virginia, we have to file on a Tiitle 18 form for Medicaid secondary to Medicare and Medicare replacements.

I am in TN. The problem we have is that Windsor does not send our billing on to the secondary insurance. Once it goes to them, it pretty much stops, which means we are not getting paid by the secondary because they are not receiving the information. We do not know if we need to fill out another 1500 form to go to the secondary or if there is another form we are supposed to fill out so the secondary will pay.
 
Did you get a copy of the eob from Windsor? In NY we have a hardcopy form from Medicaid itself (looks similar to a HCFA)that we complete by hand, then attach a copy of our EOB to the form and mail it to MCD. If the secondary is a commercial payor (instead of MCD) we do send a HCFA showing primary payment received, the remainder we are seeking and attach a copy of the eob from our primary payment, and mail to the secondary carrier.
