can a work comp claim be billed to medical insurance? patient told they could come to physician office, then told next day not. Still bill work comp and hold patient liable if not paid?

Is the work comp claim closed or denied??? If so, you can bill health insurance (they will deny) and then use work comp denial letter to appeal.
Be careful on this one if there is an accepted claim. Most states have very stringent legislation on balance billing the patient for workers' comp charges.
