I work in an ASC facility in New Hampshire and when it comes to reimbursement from WC claims, some pay appropriately but others not so much. The ones that pay based on U&C pay anywhere between 60% to 35%. When we don't agree with a reimbursement payment, we submit a reconsideration but I find the claims that process using U&C are the hardest to get additional reimbursement from. Has anyone come across this? Any tools that one could use to help support the reconsideration. We do have contracts with some WC companies but it is the companies that we are not contracted with that are paying so little. Has anyone tried comparing reimbursement from other WC companies, ones you might be contracted with, to help support the reconisderation.
