Hello

I am trying to find accurate documentation for the Wound care procedure and E/M done on the same day guidelines? Anyone have ideas or experience in this area please.

Most wound care services are covered under the E&M codes. It can only be billed separately if the wound care involves debridement or negative pressure wound therapy.

You should always confirm before billing an E&M for wound care that the treatment is not a part of the global billing period for the initial wound treatment.
