I code for a facility and am curious as the correct way to code for wound inspection neck abscess w/ suture removal
Im looking @ 15851.
Inspection of the neck demonstrated the wound edges to be loosely approximated. Two Penrose drains were in good position. The drains were removed as well as the remianing sutures. Theer was no sign of abscess or infection. Mastisol and SteriStrips were applied. The neck dressing was placed. The patient was allowed to emerge from anesthesia. No known intraoperative complications. Estimated blood loss nil.
