Would the following wound repair be a simple repair of the ear?

Note reads: length 5 cm; location, ear; complexity, complex 2/2 location, length, full thickness including cartilage; depth, through skin, cartilage; contamination, the wound did not require removal of particulate matter; exploration of wound showed no foreign body; the wound was closed with 6-0 nylon x 11 sutures; the cartilage was not sutured, only the skin.

Simple repair

Sounds like simple repair to me. Sutured only skin. No evidence of layered closure.
