Does anyone know which Insurance Companies are accepting the X modifiers? Last I read was MCR, MCD and all MCR Advantage/Replacement Plans. Is this correct?

I have called several payors and I am unable to get a clear response.

Any help would be appreciated.

I would love this answer as well. In all my CEU classes they said not to use the "X" modifiers until CMS makes a clear decision as to when we should start using them. The more I research it the more I get worried that I should have been using them since 1-2015. Eeeek.

Everything I've read says to use any modifiers in place of a 59 if you can, including the X mods. Primarily this is for government payers, but I've read elsewhere that commercial payers may also accept them, depending on their policies.
