For finger joint injection and a hip injection. Should it be coded as follows?
20600 F6
20610 XS,LT
 
You only need to code this as 20600-F6 and 20610-LT. The two codes are excluded from one another because they are for different types of joints. You wouldn't use 20610 to inject a DIP joint, therefore the XS modifier will not be needed in this case.

If you did an injection in the right shoulder and right hip, you would then code as:
20610-RT
20610-XS-RT

Make sure the X modifiers are accepted by the payer you are billing.
