I am wondering if anyone can give me clear insight on when we should use the XS modifier vs the XU modifier during any endoscopic procedure. I am bouncing back and forth with coding colonoscopies when there is a biopsy taken from different sites of the colon which modifier would you use? I know XS states different organ/structure but isn't the colon one big organ besides the rectum which would be the different structure? Just very confused....
