Hello! I have questions about billing the RT codes with the Y90 procedures. What is everyone doing? Any oncology experts?
What should I look for to bill 77778? I haven’t been billing that and think I may have been missing it. I have been coding 79445 for the Y90.
77261-3 I’ve been billing 77261 base on the single area of malignancy. The doctors always send 77263. Am I misunderstanding the coding? What should the documentation for that say? Should these be billed with the mapping procedure? Also, I have a note to bill once per case, does that mean once per patient for the same cancer, or once per treatment?
77470- this is another code that is often sent, I’m looking for documentation that extra planning is required, is that correct?
77300- I’m looking for documentation of the Dosimetry calculation, correct? Is this always done? I don’t see it very often.
Any other codes I could potentially be missing?
