Wiki Z-code for "questionable stone"

I have an OP for radiology with an Admit Dx of "questionable stone".
Nephrolithiasis was found.

Rather than query and get another Dx, I'm being told that I should
"use a z-code and move on". I'm at a bit of a loss. Any suggestions?

There is no code for a questionable diagnosis. There are Z codes for conditions that have been ruled out. However you state the results were nephrolithiasis so that is what you should code. For a diagnostic study you code either the symptoms the patient presented with which prompted the study or you code the result of the study. In this case since the result is what you have that is what you code.

Agreed. It's just, since I was told to put a z-code on it, that kinda threw me.
