Can this code be use for pre GI endoscopic procedures billing purposes? Example, patient send by PCP for screening colonoscopy, no high risk.
 
Yes. We use this dx code when the patient's come into the office to be seen and examined before they have a colonoscopy and there are no issues. We do get paid.
