In this procedure, the provider repairs the intrinsic muscles of the hand. Intrinsic muscles of the hand include thenar or thumb muscles, hypothenar or little finger muscles, interossei muscles originating from metacarpal bones, and the lumbrical muscles originating from the finger and hand tendons.
