The provider places one or more proximal extension endografts (covered stents) in the thoracic aorta to reinforce or extend a prior repair. This delayed procedure is performed after a previous thoracic endovascular aortic repair. The service includes preprocedure sizing and device selection, all nonselective catheterization, balloon angioplasty or stenting within the treatment zone, and all imaging guidance and interpretation needed to complete the extension. The extension does not cover the origin of the left subclavian artery.
