Summary

Code 92136 describes the use of a laser method for determining the axial length of the eye and other measurements for fitting and determination of the strength or power of an intraocular lens following cataract surgery. This is an alternate methodology from the normal a–scan ultrasound method of performing ophthalmic biometry. This newer method is said to improve the precision of ocular measurements.
