Billing for A0998 NON TRANSPORT Ambulance claims , are you supposed to use the POS 41 ? I get a rejection for no Ambulance cert when using this POS but since it is a Non-transport there are no transport reason codes or mileage, etc. Can someone tell me the proper way to bill this electronically.:confused:

I am wondering the same thing, @wonder1963! We have a claim denying for HCPCS Code A0998 (billed w/ Modifier RR) & POS 41. Patient has MCD. The denial we received is: Per MCR guidelines, coverage for procedure code A0998 is temporarily paused.

Do you have any idea what this means?
