I have a surgeon who monitors the patient while doing the diagnostic procedure. My question is, can he bill 99144 if the time is less than 30 minutes?
 
can or should we charge moderate sedation with bedside procedures or are they always bundled? Where do you find out if they are bundled?

Hi there, you need to review the information for moderate sedation codes in the Anesthesia guidelines and the Medicine chapter.
 
Thank you but if this is a facility and a nurse completes the service moderate sedation can the facility charge?
