Yes - seems to be on every Advantage plan , we are appealing with the CMS guidelines, suspect they just have not updated their systems

I'm finding my UHC Medicare claims with that code are being rejected on Emdeon so I'm hoping they just need to get their systems updated.

We are in PA and seeing the same thing. We've developed an appeal letter which we are sending with the updated claims processing manual section and the change request issues on January 18th. Appeal, appeal, appeal!

Hi there, I agree that this is likely a system update issue and payers just aren't ready to process the code. For Medicare Part B, the implementation date for the code is Feb. 19.
