I was wondering if these two can be performed on the same toe on the same day. I was looking at the definitions and the 28299 seems to include the 28298, im i correct?
They were also performed thru the same incision site..
help..?!?!

Interesting situation. These are two different types of bunionectomies, so I don't know how they could physically be done on the same toe. If they performed more than one osteotomy, 28298 seems to be make sense. I suspected these two codes were mutually exclusive, but they are not listed in the NCCI as such.
