can we code 64721 carpal tunnel release along with 64450, median nerve block injection?

we keep getting denials on this.

if the block is done as anesthesia for the surgery, no you can't report it separately.

@Juliaramos, CCI states modifier is allowed it means there are circumstances where they might be separately reportable. Its not an open invitation to use modifier 59.
