Is anyone having trouble getting paid for a PE with an office visit using ADHD ICD9 code for the office visit? Most carriers are not paying for the ADHD office visit because it falls under mental health.

What diagnosis code do you use if you get paid?
 
Our providers perform full physicals once a year and follow up on conditions as appropriate. For physicals, our providers bill out V20.2 or V70.0 primary.

If the patient is being evaluated for ADHD, then that is your code, but consider that sometimes it's a follow up for medication adjustments and so you can bill out V58.69.
