Hi,
Is anyone out there reporting either of the 2 new CPT's for advance care planning (99497; 99498)? CMS doesn't have allowables listed for either code so I'm assuming they're for date collection purposes & will not be reimbursed if reported. I'd like our physicians to get into the habit of documenting & reporting these codes so will instruct them to start reporting but was curious if anyone has already reported them? Any help is appreciated, thanks very much!
 
Reimbursement for 99497

The allowed amount for 99497 in Iowa is approximately $81. I believe I found this in the revised fee schedule on the carrier website that was posted last week.
 
Advance Care Planning

Thanks for the info! I just found the Ohio allowables, our MAC carrier didn't have them posted until just recently...imagine that!
