An arthrodesis was done on the carpometacarpal joint of the thumb in opposition with K-wires. An allograft was utilized. Is there a separate code for using the allograft, all I can find is autograft codes for the thumb? Should I just be using 26841 and not worry about the allograft??? Thanks for the help

That is correct. There is no additional work involved in placement of the allograft (or so our CPT authorities say) therefore we can not capture it.
