Hi - Was curious if any family practice providers out there use Allscripts RCMS (Revenue Cycle Management Services) and your thoughts on it? We are considering upgrading to it. ANY feedback would be appreciated! Thanks

Hello,

I do not recommend this service. We recently met with a physician who signed up for RCMS when he first obtained Allscipts. His insurance accounts receivables is awful. 30% of his charges are older than 90 days; including payers that normally have a two week turn around. Allscripts can be a non-user friendly PM system as is, but the RCMS showed no benefit of an "expert" user. If you are interested in outsourcing your billing, I recommend interviewing multiple independent billing companies to analyze your individual needs.
