Hello coders!

Op note:
Pre and Post-Op dx: Depleted ANS pulse generator, occipital stimulator.

Procedure Performed:
1. Replacement of ANS occiptial stimulator pulse generator
2. EON rechargeable battery used.

She underwent an occiptial stimulator lead implantation as well as placement of a nonrechargeable pulse generator about 4 yrs ago. However, her battery life is getting depleted, and the efficacy has started to get less. The patient was evaluated, and the battery in the right subpectoral area.

Incision was then deepened through the subq tissue, and dissection was performed until the battery was exposed and then it was extracted w/o problem. Using hex screwdriver, the battery lead was loosened and pulled out in intact fashion.

Rechargeable ANS Eon battery was used and proximal portion of the lead with 8 contacts was inserted into the battery, and a lead was tightened into battery using hex screwdriver.

Office states 63685 but from the sounds of this code does not sound right. Also generator and battery is used interchangable??? Any help would be great :)
