I was wondering what other offices are doing when pts arrive for an appointment to get their screening colonoscopy scheduled. Typically these are patients sent to the clinic from their primary care providers. They do not have symptoms. Are these billable services? I was under the impression that these visits were included and not separately reportable unless the patient presents with other problems that needed addressed or the provider was managing a medication that needed stopped before their procedure. Please let me know your thoughts.
