I51.9 - Heart Disease, Unspecified, which covers

Approximate Synonyms

  • Diastolic dysfunction
  • Diastolic dysfunction (heart condition)
  • Diastolic dysfunction, left ventricle

  • Heart disease in pregnancy
  • Left ventricular diastolic dysfunction
  • Left ventricular systolic dysfunction
  • Postpartum (after childbirth) heart disease
  • Right ventricular systolic dysfunction
  • Right ventricular systolic dysfunction without heart failure
  • Systolic dysfunction, left ventricle
Is this correct or any other specific code suggestions?

Need your suggestions.

Did the patient present with symptoms that would qualify for a patient to have an echocardiogram? if the findings are normal or the physician did not provide a diagnosis, bill the symptoms.

HTH
Dolores

Hi Dolores,

We get only the Echo report with the above indication. No other additional clinical information is available in the MR.
What to I code in such scenarios?
