Hello,
Can anyone tell me if when billing chemotherapy treatment for an outpatient facility, should there be a specific order in which the codes are billed. For example, would you bill all CPT codes first and then bill all J-codes second? I have understood the scenerio for chemotherapy to be billed according to the administration heirchy. The CPT code would be billed first and then the J-code second and to continue this pattern with each drug and its administration. There are others in my office that feel the appropriate codes should be billed but not in any particular order.
Thanks for any suggestions!

It doesn't matter the order for the CPT and HCPCS codes. As long as you have the same DOS for your drugs and your admin codes. Because pharmacy enters the drugs and my biller enters the admin codes, they are listed all by j-codes then all admin codes follow.
