Wiki Billing discontinued lap (47562) had to 47600

If the surgeon discontinues the 47562 due to issues he could not address and then had to open the patient, how do I bill this. I was going to bill 47562-53 and 47600. Not sure how to handle this one. I need to know how to correctly bill for this.

You can only bill for the open procedure and you add the Vcode V64.4 after your diagnosis code to let the payer know that it was a closed procedure converted to an open one.
