Is there a CPT code that could be used for giving a patient (PPE)?
We are considering billing 99070 but haven't actually tried it yet.Is there a CPT code that could be used for giving a patient (PPE)?
We were considering using it when our doctors see patients in full PPE only. Not sure it would fly, so we haven't tried it.There is a HCPCS code, but only for very specific circumstances, such as End Stage Renal Disease, and then it is only available under Medicare Part A and not Part B (most people with ESRD have Medicare).
You could always sell them to the patients for cash at cost. But the bigger question in my mind is, who has enough to be giving them to patients??? We don't even have enough for our medical staff.

Here is another code to consider:
what do you think about the use of S8301 for private payors?
Has anyone received a response from the payer(s)?
Hello, if you would be so kind to explain what that means?I have been in contact with my local BCBS and was informed that 99072 will be covered but not separately reimbursed.
Aetna allowed $12.50 ; Blue Cross allowed $24; Cigna allowed from $9.60- $12.00- I code for Pediatrics Primary Care Physicians. So far United Healthcare and most of the private insurances are not accepting this code. I have yet to see this code on the CMS website.Has anyone received a response from the payer(s)?
