My physician did placed a cath (36620) and drew blood from a brain dead patient to run the blood to see if she was okay to be an organ donor. We don't know what diagnosis code to use for this. We thought V70.8 but that is for examination of potential donor and he was'nt examining her.. just placed the cath and took blood. Any suggestions? Thanks.
