Medicaid says they cover all services including blood work services. Is it ok for clinic to charge blood work fees to Medicaid patient?(the fees schedule for venipuncture for $3.00 differing from charges ) Need honest answer.Help....

You can only bill a patient for any applicable copay, deductible, and/or coinsurance for services that are covered by their insurance company if you are in-network with the patient's insurance plan. In short, you cannot bill a patient full charges for services covered by Medicaid. Most Medicaid patients have no financial responsibility for covered services. You can, however, bill full charges for any non-covered service.
