Hello guys, can anyone clarify how to code male breast mass ICD 10?

In ICD-10: N63 series is female gender specific codes. Can we go with R22.2 for male breast mass??

In the ICD-10 CM Expert for physicians copy put out by OPTUM360 manual of diagnosis codes the Lump/mass breast codes are NOT marked as gender specific. I would use them for both male and female. I hope this helps.

Agree with Jennie,

N63 has no gender requirements, so the code could be used for male patients.

yes u are Right we have to code R22.2 for breast mass. if it is localized skin mass.

N63 is not Gender specific code.
