Is it appropriate to bill CPT codes 16020-16030 in this scenario? A patient is evaluated by a nurse practitioner (NP), and after the consultation, a registered nurse (RN) provides wound care and/or mechanical debridement. Can these codes be billed when the RN completes and documents the wound care, or are there specific requirements that must be met?
