I am coding Pro-Fee Congenital heart defect and Peds cardiology.
I cannot find any resource for clear direction on coding defect codes
Ex: Congenital Heart Echo was done. Interrupt: " S/p ASD device closure".. Do I code ASD Q21.10 AND Z87.74 or only the corrected code Z87.74?
I have the same problems with Other condition that I don't know if they are considered "corrected" or not.
When coding Echo or Office visit for a Patient has had TOF and the procedure to correct was completed .
S/p TOF repair is listed as well as RV dilation and or VSD (these are two of the three components of TOF) Do I code TOF Q21.3 since there are two components still present or code I51.7 and Q21.0
