Wiki code for mesh-inguinal hernia - trying to find a code

Hello,
We are trying to find a code for an inguinal or femoral hernia repair with mesh. We know there is an add on code (49568) for inplantation of mesh to be used for ventral hernia repair. Is there such a code for inguinal or femoral hernia repair with mesh?

I might sugggest a couple different options here. If mesh isn't included in your lay description or your code descriptor, it probably took a bit of extra time and effort on the surgeons side so I am wondering if a 22 might be an option. Second, folks charge an unlisted code with a set price to add the cost of inserting the mesh.
The sad thing is, I beleive carriers are aware of both options and are not as apt to pay either method, but there are not any codes for the mesh itself in these cases. That is my two cents. jan
