I am trying to get my department to understand the importance of coding compliance. Our department is fairly new and everything is still in it's building stages. Does anyone know where I can get information regarding a Coding Compliance Plan? Thanks in advance for your help!
 
A compliance plan is important as it protects your practice. It demonstrates your practice is making an effort to prevent fraud/abuse situations. The OIG recommends every practice have a compliance plan in place. I know AHIMA has a good one that you can customize to your practice and doctors management.com also has one available.
